04/03/2008 Andrew Rettie - Perth Bowling Club Scotland Having had the opportunity to organise a party of bowlers from Perth Bowling Club to Winter Gardens over the past five years we must record our sincere thanks to all staff and bowlers at the Tenerife Club for their very kind hospitality and assistance to us all on each visit. With the very happy atmosphere I find no problems in finding names who wish to travel each year, and a list is already being prepared for our visit in January 2009. The bowling surface and weather conditions available in the month of January when we have the opportunity to get away from the winter weather in Scotland is a welcome break. The facilities available in the area are excellent with many restaurants to choose form including Pedros above the bowling complex which has excellent food available at all times. There are also many interesting walks available in the area I recommend you arrange to have a visit to this wonderful complex. |

28/02/2008 Brian Meakin From start to finish our stay at the Winter Gardens was perfect, the Winter Gardens apartments are 1st class, plenty of eating places within walking distance. the bowling is just what you could want, on site, well looked after, and near the bar. the resident team and captain looked after us better than some teams we play at home in the UK. The Winter Gardens team have your needs utmost when you book with them, be it just for the games or the full package ie acomodation and games. Brian |

02/03/2007 Streatham Bowls Club Just a short note to say thank you to all the staff at Wintergardens for their support during our visit over the last couple of weeks. We were all made very welcome and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I'd be very grateful if you would also copy this email to the Committee and Members of Teide Bowls Club, who were magnificently friendly in both the sportsmanship shown, and also the socialising which is so important to us. I will personally be returning in October, and my company, RTS Communications, has agreed to sponsor the Open Competition in February 2008, when we will again be bringing a substantial party to your complex. Very best regards, Finlay Morton |

05/11/2006 Alan Blakely Last week my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting your green and took part in the Fun Day bowls. Apart from the small hiccup with the chicken at the BBQ, we had a wonderful time. The value for money for this event is exceptional. The only thing that put a small tinge on our day was the rain that unfortunately curtailed our day with the lovely people we met. But we obviously cant hold you responsible for that :). I must also say that the improvement we have seen in the complex over the past year is remarkable. The surroundings are much improved and finishes off your green very well. I would also like to pass on our thanks to your staff, particularly, and I hope I get the names correct, Graeme and Jimmy. Just in case I am wrong, as I am terrible with names, the two of them are Scottish and took to do with us on the Green. They were both so helpful, courteous and encouraging to us "no hopers" or as Graeme kept saying "people who just havent learned yet". They both made us all feel at ease. Graeme in particular is a credit to your organisation. He is obviously very knowledgable about bowling, very professional, takes his job serious, but delivers his knowledge in a very straight forward, funny and understandable manner. It was remarkable how much myself and our fellow participants learned in such a small space of time. We attended the same day when we were there in March. Although we enjoyed our day then, we found the new format much more professional, more enjoyable and has certainly eencouraged us to perhaps join our local club here at home. Before, we got onto the green and had a "game" with some other people who had never played before either. But we never actually learned how to play the game or even how to roll the bowl properly. Although we went away having enjoyed ourselves, we were left kind of frustrated. I would also like to thank the lady, and sorry I cannot even guess at her name, who was working in the bar next to the Bowling Green. She helped us out with some information, was very helpful and courteous. Again she is a credit to your organisation. People are all to eager to criticise companies, but not as eager to praise. We felt it only fair to write to you to highlight the good work your employees are doing and to commend your facilities. We look forward to visiting your club again in March on our next visit to Tenerife. Kirsty and Alan |

02/09/2006 Margaret Baker I would like to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in March 2006. As I am disabled and use a special wheelchair to play bowls I was very pleased to find that you pulled out all the stops to make itr possible for me to play. Mike made a ramp for me to get onto the green the day after I arrived in Tenerife which I was very greatful for. The teams I played made me feel very welcome. We are returning in October for a month and look forward to another good holiday. It's nice to see that disabled people are being cared for abroad. Thank you. |

19/09/2005 Norma Turner. Redcar Borough Park B.C. North Yorkshire. I can't thank you enough for the wonderful hospitality that you gave us all. We really enjoyed our two games with all of you, once again I can't thank your members enough for playing in that heat on the Sunday. Wednesday evenings game was great and once again thank you for changing the time for us all and the lovely BBQ and social evening you laid on for us. Hopefully we look forward to seeing you all again in the future. |

29/08/2005 Jane Simpson, Lancashire. We have just returned from Winter Gardens and had an excellent 2 weeks. We will be back if only to torment the bar staff - especially Andy and Sharon. We met some great friends Pauline & bob and the dog Bobette. |

16/02/2005 Dave & Liz Melville We found this restaurant by good luck as we were actually staying at the Santa Barbara Complex and wanted somewhere different to eat. The food was excellent as was the service. We would like to know what was the inside filling for the Serrano ham starter. We were going to come back for our last night, but it was raining so hard and my mother who is 90 is not so quick on her feet. We will definately call again when we come back to England. |

27/09/2004 Victoria Pratt It was a great holiday. Great service from waiters and bar staff. Fabulous accomodation and entertainment. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. |

20/07/2004 Ian & Angela Thomson We have stayed at the Winter Gardens Complex twice and loved every minute. The facilities are superb and everyone is very friendly. We are returning again in 2004 to play more bowls, relax at the pool and take in some sun. |

25/09/2003 Mike Naylor We have visited this Bowls Centre twice and see the way it has developed. First of in January 2002 when it was still being constructed, then January 2003 had the pleasure of playing on the new green which played very well. Now we are looking forward to playing there again next January. Thank you for the message Mike. We have seen so many people over the last 6 months who actually watched Winter Gardens being "born". Many have been so suprised as to the standard of the complex after seeing just a hole in the ground.! We look forward to welcoming you back in January. |

08/09/2003 Keith & Sheila Smith Having just returned to England after spending 3 weeks at Winter Gardens we would like to express our thanks to all staff at W.G. What a fabulous complex, although a beginner at bowling I was helped along and made totally welcome by one and all. The apartment overlooking the green with views out to sea was fabulous, we can't wait to return. |
